What this is
A live-scores service tracks fixtures — scheduled matches — across many sports and competitions, and tells you the one thing you usually want to know: the score, and whether the game is about to start, in progress or already over. Each fixture moves through a small set of statuses, from scheduled to live (in-play) to finished, with a few detours like postponed or abandoned along the way.
ScorePulse pulls fixtures, scores and statuses for thousands of matches and organizes them the way the sports world does — sport, then competition, then season, then the individual fixture. We convert every kickoff time into your local time zone and flag whether a score is final or still provisional, so you always know how much to trust the number on the card.

Reading scores & data responsibly
Live scores are an aggregated, best-effort picture — fast, but not flawless. Here’s how to read what you see without being misled by timing, time zones or results that aren’t final yet.
Data timing & accuracy
- Treat an in-play score as the best recent picture, not a frame-accurate one — it can lag the live broadcast by seconds to minutes.
- Wait for the finished status before treating a result as settled; until then, a number can still change.
Time zones
- Kickoff times are local to the venue and converted to your time zone — confirm your device’s time zone if a listing looks an hour or more off.
- Late-night or cross-date fixtures can land on a different calendar day in your zone than at the venue, so check the date as well as the time.
Provisional results
- A score marked live or just-finished may still be revised by goal reviews, point reassignments or corrected data entry.
- For betting, official records or anything that matters, confirm against the competition’s or governing body’s official result, not a live feed.

- TheSportsDB — Community-maintained sports database providing fixtures, teams, competitions and scores. Free tier uses a public key; richer and live data are available via Patreon.
- Official leagues & governing bodies — Competitions and their federations publish the authoritative fixtures, standings and final results that live feeds aim to reflect.
Frequently asked
- What do the match statuses mean?
- Scheduled means the match hasn’t started; live (or in-play) means it’s under way and the score is changing; finished means it’s over and the result is settled. Postponed means it’s been moved to a later date, and abandoned means play stopped part-way and didn’t resume.
- Why is the live score behind the TV?
- Live data travels from the venue through a data provider to us, and each hop adds a little delay, so the score can trail the broadcast by seconds to a couple of minutes. That lag is normal when aggregating many matches; for the definitive result, wait for the finished status.
- Why did a final score change after the match?
- Results can be corrected — a goal reviewed and disallowed, a point reassigned, or a data-entry error fixed. We always show the latest update and replace the old value, so a result you saw earlier may be revised before it’s confirmed final.
- Are the kickoff times in my time zone?
- Yes. Kickoff times are originally local to the venue, and we convert them to your time zone so you don’t have to do the math. If a time looks off, check that your device’s time zone is set correctly.
- How is a league table different from a cup bracket?
- A league table ranks teams by points earned over a whole season of round-robin matches, with tiebreakers like goal difference. A cup bracket is single-elimination — win and advance, lose and you’re out — so there’s no draw and one bad day can end a run.
